Michael Herrera, CEO of MHA Consulting, presented MHA’s updated Current State Assessment model to a packed room at the Disaster Recovery Journal conference in San Diego, CA. MHA’s new model will assess a BCP program’s adherence to best practices and most importantly, demonstrated capability. The new model will be web based and will permit users to subscribe to a secure BCP assessment tool for single sites or enterprise wide. Online reports can be easily generated. Users will be able to benchmark against other industries. Consultants will be able to brand the model for their use as well.
“It is critical that you know not only how closely you adhere to best practices, but, more importantly, the level of execution exhibited in each area of preparedness. Our model will evaluate enterprise capabilities, business recovery capabilities and IT recovery capabilities. You can evaluate one area or all at once. I had a long time to think about how our model could be improved and adding demonstrated capability to the tool was the way to go”, said Michael Herrera CEO MHA Consulting.
The new model will be running in first quarter of 2011. If you wish to be included in the beta testing, contact us at info at mha-it.com.
