Michael Herrera MHA Consulting

Michael Herrera, CBCP

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Michael Herrera is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of MHA. In his role, Michael provides global leadership to the entire set of industry practices and horizontal capabilities within MHA. Under his leadership, MHA has become a leading provider of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery services to organizations on a global level. He is also the founder of BCMMETRICS, a leading cloud based tool designed to assess business continuity compliance and residual risk. Michael is a well-known and sought after speaker on Business Continuity issues at local and national contingency planner chapter meetings and conferences. Prior to founding MHA, he was a Regional VP for Bank of America, where he was responsible for Business Continuity across the southwest region.

Cassandra Sullivan

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Cassandra Sullivan is responsible for managing MHA’s enterprise-wide operations and ensuring the success of client engagements. Prior to joining MHA, Cassandra worked as an educator to ensure the success of her students and peers by creating and executing effective systems and procedures designed to foster an environment conducive to student success. Cassandra has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master of education degree in Elementary Education, both from Arizona State University.

Richard Long

Richard Long is one of MHA’s practice team leaders for Technology and Disaster Recovery related engagements. He has been responsible for the successful execution of MHA business continuity and disaster recovery engagements in industries such as Energy & Utilities, Government Services, Healthcare, Insurance, Risk Management, Travel & Entertainment, Consumer Products, and Education. Prior to joining MHA, Richard held Senior IT Director positions at PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM) and Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) and has been a senior leader across all disciplines of IT. He has successfully led international and domestic disaster recovery, technology assessment, crisis management and risk mitigation engagements.

GLORIA SARGENT, CBCP

Gloria Sargent, CBCP

Gloria Sargent is MHA’s practice team leader for Business Continuity Management related engagements. She has ensured the successful implementation of business continuity planning engagements in industries such as Financial, Risk Management, Government, Insurance, Utilities, Pharmaceutical and Healthcare. Prior to joining MHA, Gloria was a Director at American Express (NYSE: AXP) where she was responsible for managing the Business Continuity Management programs across North America, the United Kingdom and India. Gloria has successfully led domestic and international program management, crisis management, business recovery planning, and other risk mitigation engagements.

David King

SENIOR ADVISORY CONSULTANT

David King is one of MHA’s practice team leaders for Technology and Disaster Recovery related engagements. Prior to joining MHA, David was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC). He has also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at PetSmart (NASDAQ: PETM) and Grupo Elektra/Salinas y Rocha (BMV: ELEKTRA; LATIBEX: XEKT; MEX: SYR), and has held a variety of other international and domestic senior executive level technology positions. As a technology and professional services executive, David has successfully led international business continuity, disaster recovery, technology, and data center-related initiatives.

RICHARD ROBINSON

Richard Robinson

ADVISORY CONSULTANT

Richard Robinson is responsible for supporting security and emergency response related engagements for MHA. Richard brings over 30 years of combined security and law enforcement experience to MHA client companies, most recently as Commander of the Technical Services Bureaus for the Newtown Police Department where he supervised the day-to-day activities of the detectives and school-based officers. As one of the first responders to the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, he took command of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) until relieved by the Newtown Police Executive Officer. In the aftermath of the event Richard worked closely with the Newtown public, private and parochial schools on school safety and security issues. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in justice and law administration from Western Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Columbia Southern University.

Mike Chaly

Mike Chaly is responsible for supporting MHA’s business continuity and crisis management engagements. Mike brings to MHA 20 years as an experienced leader in developing programs, plans, training, and exercises. Before coming to MHA, he was a BC Resiliency consultant for Witt O’Brien’s, Chaly Business Resiliency, Ernst & Young, and Lootok, Ltd. Mike is a veteran of the United States Navy and the DEA, with a master’s degree in Emergency & Disaster Management from Metropolitan College of New York, a master’s degree in military history from American Military University, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Hofstra University.

Andrea Krudo supports MHA senior consultants on business continuity engagements for domestic and international clients. Andrea brings solid experience in problem solving and attention to detail to her work at MHA, using her skills to support MHA in business continuity planning, business impact analysis, and the development of strategies to improve resiliency.

As an MHA Consultant, Kyle leverages his expertise to provide clients with top-notch guidance in business continuity management, a dedication to delivering exceptional results, and helping organizations ensure seamless operations in the face of a disruption. Kyle has a bachelor’s degree in Business Law from Arizona State University.

SENIOR WRITER

Colin Garrison is responsible for copywriting and developmental editing for MHA Consulting. He collaborates with MHA staff and consultants on technical documentation, blog production, social media, and other writing projects for MHA Consulting and BCMMetrics. Colin previously worked as a technical writer and editor at Microsoft, and has served in various writing and editorial functions at a range of newspapers, magazines, and art galleries.
